Clear glaze is applied to the interior of each plate and bowl, leaving the exterior with a vitrified stone-like surface that becomes smooth with handling.

Are Mud Australia ceramic plates and bowls, dishwasher and microwave safe?

Our dinnerware collection is food safe and can, with some care, be used in the oven, microwave and dishwasher.

In the dishwasher, make sure items are not touching. To avoid scratches on the glaze ideally your porcelain will either be stored in plate racks or use linen between each item.

Sudden changes in temperature (eg. from freezer to oven / from oven to cold bench) is likely to cause thermal shock, which will damage your porcelain. Always put cold items onto wire racking when placing in a hot oven. Always place very hot items onto either wood or cloth.
